Thank you to our campus and greater community members who have supported our annual fundraiser, the President’s Luncheon. Because of your efforts, we have raised more than $170,000 for student success, which includes daily essential needs such as groceries, textbook and technology assistance and transportation through our Lyft program. The San Mateo County Community College District (SMCCCD) recently approved a new operating agreement with the SMCCC Foundation.
With this, it was decided to take this year to reimagine the future of our Foundation as well as our respective college fundraising efforts. Cañada College will postpone holding our President’s Luncheon for the 2023-2024 academic year. This pause will afford us an opportunity to collaborate with our District and re-create a vision for future fundraising efforts.
