S.T.A.R. Learning Community

Join our S.T.A.R. Learning Community, launching in Spring 2025!

S.T.A.R. stands for Success, Transfer, Access, and Relevance. 

• Success: removing systemic barriers and centering the student’s identities to support and empower students to define their own success.
• Transfer: providing the student with culturally aligned transfer support.
• Access: grounded in Ethnic Studies, the aim is to use an Ethnic Studies lens to respond to educational equities and to challenge Eurocentric curriculum.
• Relevance: transform campus climate, culture and curriculum by prioritizing wellness and hope.

The S.T.A.R. Learning Community is an educational support community designed to emphasize the experiences, history, and voices of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. This learning community will offer cohorted classes, cultural events, immersion experiences, community building, and more!
