Accreditation Status
Cañada College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.
On January 16, 2024, the Commission officially notified the College that it has made appropriate progress on implementing its plans and improving outcomes related to student achievement based on its 2023 Midterm Report and related evidence.
On January 27, 2020, the Commission officially notified the College that, upon consideration of the the College's Institutional Self-Evaluation as well as the recommendations made by the October, 2019 peer review visiting team, the Commission acted to Reaffirm the College's Accreditation for a period of seven years. The College received two commendations and no recommendations for compliance with the standards.

Complaint Policy
The Commission can and does respond to complaints regarding allegations of conditions at affiliated institutions that raise significant questions about the institution's compliance with the standards expected of an accredited institution. Students and members of the public who desire to file a formal complaint to the Commission about Cañada College should become familiar with the requirements for doing so prior to contacting the Commission. The Office of Private Post-secondary Education also approves Cañada College to offer courses to U.S. Veterans for collection of veterans' benefits.
Radiologic Technology Program
Cañada College's Radiologic Technology Program is also accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education and Radiologic Technology. The most recent letter of accreditation affirmation was received by the college from the JRCERT on June 29, 2016. The next site visit is scheduled for August 27-29, 2019.
