How to Connect With Our Students

How to Connect with Cañada Students

We have many ways for you to market your employment or internship opportunities to our students.

1. Post to our Student Job Board, powered by College Central Network:

College Central Network allows you to post job/internship openings, search resumes, and stay informed about career events at no cost.It only takes a minute to register. Once you have completed the one-time registration, you will be able to post job openings at anytime. Sign Up to the Job Board Here: http://www.collegecentral.com/canadacollege

In addition to posting online, you can email your soft copies and marketing materials to Bob at [email protected]

2. Participate in Recruitment Weekdays (Currently being held In-Person & Virtually)

Each weekday, the Career Services Center hosts one or more employers that are hiring for positions between the hours 9:00 am to 1:30 pm in our student dining hall, The Grove.

If you are interested, please complete the Employer Interest Form to schedule. We will contact you the Monday before to send a parking pass.

3. Consider offering a Micro-Internship through Parker Dewey

A Micro-Internship is a short-term project that can typically be completed within 5-40 hours and is due within a few days to a few weeks. These projects require no on-boarding and can be completed by a college student with minimal instruction. These are important but low-risk tasks that aren’t the best use of your time.

As you consider your workforce needs in the coming months, Micro-Internships offer an opportunity to engage our current students and recent graduates on short-term, professional assignments.

4. Speaker Events

We welcome employers/alumni who wish to visit our campus and speak to interested students about their profession, the path that led to their current position, and sharing insights to help others along their path of career exploration. If you are interested in coming to our campus either as part of a panel or individually, please contact us at: [email protected]

5. Sign up for our Job Fair

Each semester the Career Services Center hosts a Job Fair for students. These job fairs offer employers a chance to interact with both students, faculty and staff. If you are interested in participating please email Bob Haick our Career Services Supervisor, [email protected].

Also, you can visit our Events page for more information and links to RSVP to job fairs.

6. Internship Fair

We also host an Internship Fair each semester. This event is for all students to help them facilitate learning opportunities outside the classroom. These experiences provide opportunities to apply classroom theory to "real world" situations thus enhancing academic and career goals. Some students need practicum experience for their major, or would just like to experience positions to help them decide on a major.

If you are an employer and interested in participating, please email Bob Haick our Career Services Supervisor, [email protected].
